The five-foot-nine, 190-pound Hefney was slated to become a CFL free agent next month. "As a key member of our defence, it was important for us to re-sign Jonathan who has been a consistent performer throughout his career in Winnipeg," Bombers general manager Joe Mack said in a statement.
